DIALOGUE WITH GRADUATE MEMBERS

 INTERVIEWER EXPECTATION FOR THE CANDIDATE DURING THE INTERVIEW

Knowing what the interviewer expectation from the candidate during the interview. The Professional Interview will consists of two parts, namely:

1. The Oral Interview
2. The Written Interview

IEM fully implementing the Enhanced Professional Interview (PI) with effect from 1 July, 2018. Using the competency profiles for professional engineers as the basis for assessment, the Enhanced PI measures the outcome of practical training and development for independent practice. This is in line with the global move in engineering communities worldwide towards an outcome-based competence assessment for international recognition.

This dialogue will cover the following:                                             

• Expectation from the interviewer to the candidate during interview
• Guidelines for Professional Interview                                  
• Presentation at the Interview

-       Submission of Reports

-       Oral Interview

-       Essay wirting

• Regulations of Professional Conduct

This dialogue is to serve as a clarification session for “would-be” Corporate Members. All graduate members are encouraged to attend thedialogue and to apply for the Professional Interview thereafter. Members who are interested to participate are requested to return the reply slip to the IEM Secretariat by 16th Janury 2019 together with the commitment fee payable to The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Negeri Sembilan Branch.
