Workshop/Seminar
Date: Tuesday, 15 April 2014 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Place: IEM Building

Flying in aircraft is one of the most important means of transportation in the world. Almost everyone are flying in the aircraft either for commercial travel or as hobby. These aircraft must be in an airworthy condition before there are allowed to fly. However, most people do not understand the meaning and process of ensuring the aircraft are airworthy. Once something occurs on the aircraft such as major incident or accident, such as the disappearance of the MAS (Malaysia Airlines) Boeing B777-200 flight MH370, people start to wonder on how safe is flying in the aircraft. There are many speculations pointing to many directions; aircraft manufacturer, engine manufacturer, maintenance crew, and flight crew.

This workshop will provide the required knowledge to understand the aircraft airworthiness. This is very important to public, who are travelling an aircraft, because the knowledge will eliminate the fear of flying. Fear of flying may end up some people to choose other form of vehicle, which no other vehicle in the world is safe as the aircraft.
