Panasonic's first air conditioner company in Malaysia was established in 1972 to make window-type air conditioners. Today, its primary activities are in the production of room air conditioners, commercial air conditioners, air-to-water, and parts. PAPAMY factory occupies a site of about 200,000 square metres and is equipped with ultra-modern facilities from Japan.

PAPAMY establishes an independent operation to handle all aspects from design to manufacturing, quality control, distribution, servicing every aspect of the market, and focuses on customer satisfaction. PAPAMY believes that such a fully integrated factory will play a major role in contributing to the growth of the country's economy. With more than 50 years’ experience, we export to more than 121 countries around the world.

PAPAMY boasts large, equipped with ultra-modern facilities and advanced technology, and sustained with outstanding capacity. PAPAMY 2 was incorporated in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, in 1987. In order to meet the demand for higher-quality compressors and motors, PAPAMY 2 was established to manufacture rotary compressors and hermetic motors.

Another plant in Shah Alam was added to meet market demands and commenced its first mass production of rotary compressors and hermetic motors in 1993. Since 2007, the production of compressors, coupled with dehumidifiers, has been centralized in its plant in Shah Alam. PAPAMY 2 products are designed and produced with the latest technology and the most advanced machines, robots, and methods. Coupled with its research and development capabilities, PAPAMY 2 is committed to meeting a diverse and sophisticated range of global customer needs.
