WEBINAR - Social Capital for Engineering

Place: DIGITAL PLATFORM - ZOOM | City: Seremban, Malaysia
SYNOPSIS WEBINAR
Social Capital for Engineering: Real Examples from Around the Globe
While human capital looks at individual resources, Social Capital looks at how networks between those individuals generate the value that organizations can leverage upon. Its use and associated Data Analytics among others enables us to measure who is really central, and which technical, cultural, social, or environmental levers matter to firms’ strategy and operations. It then goes with the reason that characterizing these networks is an important measure. MOSTI went as far as including this in the latest Dasar STI Negara 2021-2030, acknowledging its importance in supporting scientific development for the nation. But as with a lot of new knowledge, it has not been adopted by the Malaysian mainstream.
This webinar will take participants through a basic explanation of what Social Capital brings. We will share how this is done, with some examples both from local and global engineering firms to show the end result and value.
